An Alternative Ending

Brutus: Oh, I know that my end is near and that death is the only honrable option. However I fear that which followes and the pain that will bridge it.
Clitus: Oh my lord recent tragedies have captured your mind and throwon it into its darkest depths. Do not allow such grim thoughts to trouble you
Brutus: Clitus I apreciate your sympathies however I know that I am in a cornoer from which their is only honrable escape and dishonrable capture. Yet I still fear death for the terrible pain of it.
Clitus: Do not be so hard on yourself, there is always another way. Search your mind for it
Brutus: Do not presume to instruct me about the depths of my mind! I apologize for my shouting. I am a condemed man whos desperation is showing in my words...
Oh good Clitus I have thought of a solution. It is not death that I fear but the bridge to death, and the pain that most fell when they cross this bridge. The honor is in the death and the world cares not for how it occurs. Is there still honor in this? Of course not however all men are cowards and one other does not matter. Clitus...
Clitus: Yes my lord?
Brutus: upon my death you shall become free however before you are released I have one final favor that I need of thee, Go out and fetch the root of the hemlock that is like parsely.
Clitus: Uh... Yes my lord

Brutus: Oh good Clitus I see youy have returned, After I die I dont want to be remebered as the coward that I am. I want your oath that in exchange for youre freedom that you will mark me with this dagger after life is gone from me.
Clitus: Yes my lord, the world will remember you as the brave man who you wish you where.

Simile and Metaphor Assignment Act IV

Simile: Betrayal is like Judas because Judas wanted money and had thought that Jesus wasn't God's son.

Metaphor: Betrayal is a dark handsome knight riding off on his noble steed away from the palace's stone walls, leaving his weeping princess on the steps since she had felt betrayed by him.

Caesar is like betrayal because he had been betrayed by his closest friend Brutus when he was at the capitol and the conspirators, including Brutus had all stabbed him.

Betrayal Song

Can you see what i hide behind my eyes?
Behind yours is filled with lies,
I always thought to trust was to gain,
but you’re the one who drives me insane,
Behind my eyes is a bit of hope,
I wish you could see, I’m trying to cope,
You were the one who betrayed me.
Its you who’s to blame, yes you plead.
You plead forgiveness, to forget the past,
But it won’t escape from my mind – not that fast.
Can you see what i hide behind my eyes?
Behind yours is filled with lies…
This poem relates to betrayal because when Brutus kills Caesar, he asks everyone for forgiveness and that he was doing the right thing. Antony was really close to Caesar and felt Brutus betrayed Caesar because they were also close. Antony gives a speech to the public saying that Brutus was an honorable man. Toward the end of the speech, the meaning Antony has behind “honorable man” is completely different. He wasn’t going to forget what Brutus did.
Antony doesn’t want everyone to forget about what happened to one of his dear friends. He wants Brutus to be punished for his actions. When Brutus kills Caesar, he tries to justify the murder and betrayal of a friend. Cassius goes behind Brutus’ back and is sending him letters and acts like it’s not him. If Brutus wasn’t so into proving he was in the right, he would have known.

Song/Lyrics Assignment

This video relates to our topic betrayal because in this video, Bruno Mars is singing about how he'll go through all the pain and suffering for a girl he loves, but she wouldn't do the same for him. He felt betrayed by her because he had seen her with another guy and so he was hurt by the girl he once loved.

In the play, Julius Caesar, Cassius and the other conspirators plot against Julius Caesar by planning to betray and kill Caesar. Cassius immidiately stated to Brutus - in Act 1 - that Caesar wasn't the right man to be crowned king, since he concluded that Caesar is falling ill. He also stated to Brutus that he, Cassius, had rescued Caesar from the river and explains how Caesar doesn't act like a man. He tries to convince Brutus - whom he knows that Brutus and Caesar are close friends - to come to their side by giving him a letter which was sent by Casca which had stated a certain date, March 15 - as it was first heard when the Soothsayer told Caesar, "Beware the Ides of March" - and that Cassius would meet with Brutus at Brutus' house, along with the other conspirators.

3 Haiku's

Julius Caesar
Must die of revenge from loss
Lifetime grudges held.

After fought against
No one can be trusted by
He shall be so mad.

Cassius is prude
He shall always be intrigued
Enemies will fail.
